This covenant reflects our shared commitment to honor God, respect one another, and create a safe, Christ-centered environment for all participants at HC Spirit 2026. By participating, individuals agree to uphold these expectations and understand that violations may result in disciplinary action.
I acknowledge that community life at HC Spirit is rooted in mutual trust, respect, and Christian Love. I commit to following the social and community expectations and to conduct myself in a manner that reflects the grace and character of Christ. These expectations exist not to restrict, but to protect the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of every person in our community.
The focus is on respect, grace, growth, and understanding privileges and rights. Staff will facilitate a guided discussion with each camp to ensure a full understanding of these social expectations.
Discipline will always be handled prayerfully, fairly, and with the goal of restoration, growth, and accountability. Depending on the nature and severity of the behavior, consequences may include (but are not limited to):
Staff will make every effort to address behavior and ensure the camper has a fun and growth-filled experience. If the steps taken to redirect behavior are unsuccessful, we may contact the family to gather input and determine whether the camper will remain at camp.
